Abhishek Sharma is one of the most destructive batters in modern-day cricket, and he showed that yet again in the Asia Cup T20 2025 game against Pakistan in Dubai. The Indian opener looked in terrific nick as he sent the Pakistan bowlers to all corners of the park during Sunday’s game.

‌India did a good job on the field after Pakistan opted to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium during an Asia Cup T20 2025 game on Sunday. The Men in Green could manage just 127/9 with Kuldeep Yadav impressing yet again with a spell of 3/18, while Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah picked up two wickets each.

With a modest total to chase, Abhishek Sharma was in no mood to relax as he stepped out to send Shaheen Afridi’s first ball down the ground for a four. He followed it up with an effortless strike over extra cover for six as India were in a hurry to close the game off.

Though Shubman Gill departed in Saim Ayub’s next over after hitting two fours, the left-handed batter showed no signs of slowing down. He again started Afridi’s next over with a four before coming up with an unbelievable shot off the third ball.

The left-arm pacer tried to cramp the batter for room as he pushed an inswinger into his body. But with the length getting slightly fuller, the Indian opener planted his front foot across before using his wrist to send the ball soaring over mid-wicket. It was a soothing sight to watch a left-hander turn up against pace and clear the fence with ease against the experienced Afridi.

Twitter was in awe of Abhishek’s shot-making ability as he was playing in a different mode altogether.
