Chennai Super Kings have been one of the most dominant teams in the IPL history. But lately, they are facing some challenging times in the tournament. Injury Issues have affected the team's performance to a great extent, as this season, they have played three games without Dhoni and Brevis and lost all three of them.
This also puts the five time IPL champions at the bottom of the table. Fans are now waiting for Dewald Brevis and MS Dhoni to mark their return and help the team to regain momentum. Chennai will now be playing its next game against Delhi Capitals on 11 April.
On the availability of the two players, CSK CEO said, “MS Dhoni is undergoing rehab and it will take some time. We can't say how much time. We are hoping Dewald Brevis will be available for the next game, but that will depend on how he progresses. We have a few days before the next game.”
Our Take
The answers given by the CEO of Chennai Super Kings seem mixed to the Yellow Army. There are high chances of having Dewald Brevis back to the playing XI in the next game. But for those who have been waiting for Dhoni to play, it will surely take some time. It should be noted that CSK has only won one game without Dhoni and that too happened way back in 2010. With the team facing so many issues with their lineup, it remains to be seen how it gets solved when Brevis and Dhoni are available to play.
