Dewald Brevis is all set to play for Chennai Super Kings in the clash against Delhi Capitals. He missed out on the initial games as he suffered from an injury. But now with his recovery being completed, he hit the nets right before the clash against Delhi Capitals.

Chennai Super Kings are now likely to give some happy moments to their fans. The team started off the tournament without two of their key players, MS Dhoni and Dewald Brevis. While it remains unclear when Dhoni would play, Brevis is all set to feature for the team in the match against Delhi Capitals.

He has now successfully recovered from the side strain which he suffered in the practice sessions. This eventually led to Brevis missing out three games for the team. And CSK also suffered the fate of having two of their experienced players missing from the batting line-up, since the team lost all of its first three games.

Brevis will be playing for the team in the match against Delhi Capitals. Right before the game, he was seen making some clean hits in the nets, showing that he is ready to give his best for the Yellow Army.

Our Take

Finally a moment of joy and hope has arrived for Chennai Super Kings, as Dewald Brevis returns to the playing XI. The team has mainly suffered due to its batting line-up, as it lacked depth and experience noting the unavailability of MS Dhoni and Dewald Brevis. While Brevis has been declared fit for the match against Delhi Capitals, it still remains to be seen when Dhoni is able to make his comeback for the team. The CSK CEO gave an update on his fitness a few days back, which was not much positive for the fans.
