Rohit Sharma has already missed a number of games for Mumbai Indians. With the team facing challenges for an opener, they were waiting for the Hitman to make a comeback. Now it has been confirmed that Rohit will be making his return for the clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Mumbai Indians are not having a good time in the IPL 2026, as the team has managed to win just two games. Eager to make a comeback, the team is also fighting injury issues which makes it even more challenging. Rohit Sharma, the main opener of the team, was injured in the clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Since then, the Hitman has not been able to make a comeback in the tournament, with fans waiting for his return to happen. He has missed on a number of games now, as Mumbai has also tried several opening combinations. The team went with Quinton de Kock and Ryan Rickelton, and even the combo of Quinton de Kock and Danish Malewar, but neither of them worked.

Eventually, it has now been reported that the Hitman would be making his comeback soon. The reports claim that Rohit Sharma will be back in action on 29 April, as he is likely to play in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Our Take

The news of Rohit Sharma's return will bring some positive energy to the MI fans. He has missed the last few games for the team, and the huge gap which the team has received between the two games will help Rohit to be fit and fine, ready for the upcoming match. And if Rohit plays the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, fans will also be able to see the clash between Rohit Sharma and Pat Cummins.
