Royal Challengers Bengaluru have now received a new sponsor ahead of the IPL 2026 season. The defending champions have signed Nothing as their new title sponsor. With this two year deal, fans expect to see a lot more from the team which has already opened its trophy cabinet.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be going through some big changes right before the IPL 2026 season begins. Earlier there were talks that the team will also have a new home ground but those rumours have now been dismissed. However, at the same time, RCB was also looking for title sponsors.

Their deal with Qatar Airways had already come to an end with the 2025 season. Several companies showed their interest to get their names printed to the front of the RCB jersey. But only one of them was able to get the deal. And it is none other than the famous mobile phone company, Nothing.

1. RCB's New Jersey Sponsor

The RCB fans are a lot excited right before the T20 World Cup. The team has taken away all the attention from the ICC tournament, as they have revealed the new jersey. Qatar Airways was the title sponsor of the team over the last few seasons, where they showcased impressive performances.

But the team's deal with Qatar Airways had come to an end after the IPL 2025 season. Several companies showed their interest to become the new title sponsor for the defending champions. But one company was able to come out on top, and it was the London-based consumer technology brand, Nothing, which grabbed the deal.

This tech brand has reportedly signed a two year deal with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. So, fans will be able to see the logo of Nothing printed on the front of the jersey for two seasons. It is a new beginning for the defending champions RCB, as they won their first ever title in the last edition.

What made the fans happier than the new title sponsor was the jersey update. Finally after a wait of 18 seasons, RCB has now gotten a star on their jersey. This will be a moment for the fans and even the RCB players to cherish, as they will be fighting to get another star in the next season.

2. RCB's Ownership Chaos

While RCB has solved one of their issues just in time for the next season, one issue still remains. The team is looking for new owners just before the new season, which is expected to bring more changes. Their parent company, Diageo Limited, wanted to sell the IPL team for a long time but didn't get the buyers at the right price.

With the team winning the IPL 2025 edition, they had to wait for a while to sell the team off. In November and December 2025, Diageo Limited had appointed Citigroup to handle the process of strategic review. This was also the time when the company showed its intent to sell off the franchise.

It was later confirmed that the franchise has been put up for sale. And the demand price by the parent company came at a whopping total of 17,000 crore rupees. Even at this price, RCB has grabbed the interest of several buyers such as Adar Poonawalla, Hombale Firms, JSW Group, and Adani Group.

Till now, the sale process of RCB has not been completed. It is expected to be completed by March 2026, which might even result in a name change for the team. During the sale process however, RCB has still participated in the Women's Premier League.

3. RCB's Continued Dominance

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been dominating in the IPL and WPL. Over the last three seasons, the team has been able to make consistent final appearances in at least one of these two tournaments. It all started with WPL 2024, when the RCB franchise won its first ever title.

The men's team were also able to put up some thriller performances in the IPL 2024 season. Even after qualifying from a 1% chance, the team finished in the Eliminator. However, the Men's team didn't have to wait long to get their first title, as they dominated well in IPL 2025, under the leadership of Rajat Patidar.

RCB was able to win its first ever IPL title in the 2025 edition, and even created some unbreakable records. And now in the WPL 2026, they became the first team to reach the playoffs and eventually the first team to reach the finals. It will be interesting to see whether RCB will be able to bring three consecutive titles in three consecutive years or not.
