The World Test Championship 2025 winning captain, Temba Bavuma, is spending his break with his family. For the last few weeks, he was in India for the T20 World Cup. While he has not been a part of the T20I side for a long time, he was still a participant in the tournament.
But he took up a different role to support the Proteas and every other team in the tournament. Temba Bavuma was present in the commentary panel, as fans loved the way he gave some tactical approaches in his commentary. Following the T20 World Cup, he had to wait for some time before he went back to South Africa.

A few days back, he posted on his Instagram thanking India as the hosts of the tournament for good hospitality. And recently, he posted Instagram stories of his family time being spent along with his daughter. In the photos, it was seen that the South African skipper is in a restaurant with his daughter, spending his break time pretty well.
Our Take
Temba Bavuma has fully transitioned himself as a Test and ODI player. And his focus on these two formats has eventually paid off for South Africa. The team was able to win the World Test Championship 2025 final against Australia, under the leadership of Temba Bavuma.
Besides that, the team has also made some remarkable wins with Bavuma at the helm. He also led South Africa to whitewash India in an away Test series, which was not done by any other South African skipper in years. Not being a part of IPL 2026, he is also likely to spend the next few weeks with his family, until or unless he gets selected in the IPL commentary panel.
