Delhi Capitals are entering the IPL 2026 season with high hopes. They are among the few teams which are yet to win an IPL title, with the team eager to get their first in the upcoming season. For that, they even decided to play a practice match just like any other team, to get some memorable moments and positives.

While other teams were impressed with their batting performances, fielding brilliance, and even bowling dominance, something else happened for Delhi Capitals. During the match, a stray dog invaded the pitch as he went straightaway to the batter on the crease, Abhishek Porel.

This caused the practice match to be stopped for a while, as the stray dog was unwilling to leave the pitch. However, it was Abhishek Porel who came in as a saviour. He pet the dog well and then lifted him to take him outside the boundary line. Following this, a wholesome moment was captured with Porel running along the dog in a playful manner. Let's see how fans on Twitter reacted to the same.

Not Unwanted

Informing the fans about this incident, a famous Twitter page termed the dog as an unwanted guest. This might have triggered the fans to some extent, as he was not just an unwanted guest.

Duckett was not Harmed

Ben Duckett had decided to opt out of the IPL, not playing for Delhi Capitals this time. A Twitter user reacted to this by saying that even a dog decided to visit the DC Camp but not the England players.

Not Aww

Another famous cricket page termed this moment as an Aww moment. But a Twitter user gave a hilarious reaction to the same as it won't be aww if the dog had bit any player.
