Despite the Pakistan Super League taking place behind closed doors, the league still remains on the headlines. And it is all due to the controversies surrounding Shaheen Shah Afridi, the skipper of Lahore Qalandars. Recently in the match against Karachi Kings, he was also caught tampering the ball in the 19th over.
While he remains in question for the same, he has received a fine for another case. In the team hotel, four individuals wanted to meet Sikandar Raza, as they were his relatives. But the security was not allowed to let any relatives visit the player room. Eventually, Shaheen Afridi stepped into this matter and the relatives were forcefully escorted to Raza’s room.

They had spent approximately 3 hours in Raza's room. This incident didn't go unnoticed, as a complaint was filed against Afridi and Raza. As per the latest reports, Shaheen Shah Afridi has been fined 1 million PKR, approximately 3.39 lakh Indian rupees, by his franchise Lahore Qalandars.
Our Take
It is definitely not a good time for Shaheen Afridi lately. He already remains in question for the ball tampering case, a fine in this has been a huge blow. Sikandar Raza, on the other hand, was also involved in this case but he has escaped the penalty from the same.
Three players from Lahore Qalandars, along with Shaheen Shah Afridi, are in question for the ball tampering row. It remains to be seen what is the outcome of this case, as Shaheen denied the ball tampering allegations too. As per the security breach, the franchise said that the fine imposed on Shaheen was voluntary and proactive.
