Suryakumar Yadav and Heinrich Klaasen have been the most important batters in respective teams in the IPL. Where SKY had led the run scoring tables last year, it is Klaasen doing it this year. Their IPL 2023 season statistics, however, indicate nearly the same figures, with their batting order.

‌At number four, Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad have some of the most dependable batsmen. Mumbai Indians will be able to depend on Suryakumar Yadav, and Sunrisers Hyderabad may depend on Heinrich Klaasen. It is at this position that both players have been able to demonstrate impressive batting abilities on behalf of their teams.
Suryakumar Yadav in IPL Since 2023:
  • Innings: 51
  • Runs: 1829
  • Average: 44.61
  • Strike Rate: 169.04
  • 100s: 2
  • 50s: 14
Suryakumar Yadav turned out to be a key batsman for Mumbai Indians in the last season. He was able to score runs consistently for the team and even helped Mumbai Indians to reach the playoffs. But in this season, he has not been able to deliver the same impact to the team like before.
Heinrich Klaasen in IPL Since 2023:
  • Innings: 51
  • Runs: 1828
  • Average: 46.87
  • Strike Rate: 170.84
  • 100s: 2
  • 50s: 11
On the other hand, Heinrich Klaasen has stepped up as the saviour for Sunrisers Hyderabad. From the first game against RCB till the match against MI, he has been the key batsman for the team across all situations.

Our Take

While both Heinrich Klaasen and Suryakumar Yadav have shown identical numbers, their impact has been slightly different lately. Suryakumar Yadav struggles to find his rhythm back in this season. On the other hand, Heinrich Klaasen has shown remarkable consistency for Sunrisers Hyderabad, standing up for the team even when the top order fails to perform.
