Royal Challengers Bengaluru have missed out on the availability of Phil Salt for the last few games. He suffered with a finger injury during the practice sessions, which ruled him out for a few matches. While fans expected him to return, Salt has returned to the UK for his finger scans.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are waiting for Phil Salt to make his comeback. He has missed out on the last few games for the team, as he suffered with a finger injury ahead of the clash against Delhi Capitals. In his place, the team decided to go with Jacob Bethell, another England star, who has been opening for them with Virat Kohli in Salt's absence.

Since the clash against Delhi Capitals, Phil Salt was expected to make his return in a game or two. But that has not happened, as Salt also missed out on the recent game against Gujarat Titans. Now, some reports on his comeback have emerged, which might not be a good one for the RCB fans waiting for his comeback.

Phil Salt has now returned to the United Kingdom, to get some scans done on his finger. While the injury is not expected to be much serious, still it is better to keep a check. Both Phil Salt and Royal Challengers Bengaluru are optimistic for his return to the team as soon as possible.

Our Take

Phil Salt's return is awaited for the RCB fans as he didn't just contribute to them with the bat. His fielding skills have been a lot vital to the team, helping them to steal the game from the opponent team. While Jacob Bethell is able to do well in his place, he is not in the same form as Phil Salt was before he got injured.
