The BCCI is having its time looking at the young talents for the series against Afghanistan. The one off Test against them would help India to look at its flaws in the home tests. It is likely that Auqib Nabi Dar would make his debut in the Test team.

‌The Indian Premier League is coming to an end, and this also means various youngsters will be able to make their debut for the Indian team soon. After the tournament, India will be hosting Afghanistan for a one off Test and three ODIs, where the main focus is on the Test team.
The Test against Afghanistan will be India's first at home since the whitewash against South Africa. This comes as a bright opportunity for the Indian team to look at their flaws and eventually make improvements for the WTC table. Amidst this, it was reported that the BCCI will be finalising the squad on 19 November for both test and ODI series.

It has also been claimed that there will be a debutant, as Auqib Nabi Dar is likely to get a maiden callup to the Test team. He has already dominated in the Ranji Trophy, and now awaits his Test callup.

Our Take

It will be a wise decision by the BCCI to give a maiden callup to Auqib Nabi Dar. He has been one of the key reasons why Jammu and Kashmir were able to win the Ranji Trophy after a long time. With his impressive bowling skills, it remains to be seen whether he is able to do well for the Indian team against Afghanistan or not.
