Lucknow Super Giants created their own Thala for a Reason moment in yesterday's game. The team defeated Chennai Super Kings by 7 wickets, with 7 matching Dhoni's jersey number. Following this, they tweeted by saying that it is Lucknow for a Reason.

‌Whenever the games are involved including the Chennai Super Kings, the memes are flooded with Thala for a Reason. Fans just calculate random numbers on the scorecard with their own mathematics to ensure that 7 comes as a result. This has been quite common even when India plays against other teams.
But Lucknow Super Giants decided to take the Thala for a Reason to a new level. Yesterday, the team went against Chennai Super Kings at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, and defeated them by 7 wickets. It was a big win secured by Lucknow, and they thought of taking it as a moment to post a savage tweet related to Chennai Super Kings.
So, the LSG admin took over to the team's social media, and posted a tweet which said, “Won by 7 wickets, Lucknow for a reason.” Chennai Super Kings won't be able to respond for a while to this tweet, as they will now be facing Lucknow in the upcoming season.

Our Take

These online banters are the things which keep the IPL alive even after the matches come to an end. It also shows the creativity levels of the team admins, as they put in a lot of efforts to ensure that the banter begins. Fans will be waiting to see how Chennai Super Kings would be responding to the same. But right now, the team should focus on reaching the playoffs, rather than thinking of their best possible reply to Lucknow Super Giants.
