MS Dhoni has missed out on 13 league stages games for Chennai Super Kings. Fans also got to see him bid a good bye when the team played its last game at Chepauk. Hoping that he would play against GT, recent reports claim that he has not travelled to Ahmedabad with the team.

CSK fans are unhappy this season, noting the fact that they didn't get to see MS Dhoni play for the team in even a single game. It has been quite hurting for the fans who waited for months for the tournament to begin, and not see Dhoni play a match. Even in the last match against SRH, fans were present in huge numbers for Thala only.

However, his name was once again missing out in the playing XI. Ruturaj Gaikwad, the team's skipper, said that he might play for Chennai Super Kings in the next game against Gujarat Titans at Ahmedabad. After the game, the Chepauk fans even got to see MS Dhoni waving a good bye to them.

Following this, it was hoped that he would play for the team in the match against Gujarat Titans. Unfortunately, the recent updates on his availability is not what the CSK fans would like to hear. It has been reported that Dhoni has not travelled with the team for the match against Gujarat Titans, as the management hopes that he plays another home game next year.

Our Take

If MS Dhoni is not playing the next game against Gujarat Titans, it is a bad news for both CSK and it's fans. The fans have waited for a long time to watch him play, but they didn't get it this season. It is a challenge for CSK too, as the next game against Gujarat Titans will be a do or die for them, if they want to reach the playoffs.
