The Test series between Bangladesh and Pakistan has officially come to an end. And this time again, Bangladesh ended up winning both test matches against Pakistan. This is their consecutive whitewash over them, as they also won the previous series.

While we all were busy watching the intense IPL playoffs race, Bangladesh was busy writing history of its own. Their Test series against Pakistan has now officially come to an end, and the result is the same as it was for the previous series. Even though Pakistan fought well in the second test, they were not able to win the match.

Pakistan was given a massive target of 437 runs, and at one stage, it looked to be a comfortable chase. Sajid Khan and Muhammad Rizwan looked set on the crease, as they pushed to help the team to win. But when both of them lost their wickets, the match turned to Bangladesh's hands.

Bangladesh ended up winning the game by 78 runs, marking another whitewash over Pakistan. Litton Das was able to win the POTM award, as he scored 126 runs in the first innings, and 69 runs in the second innings. This is Bangladesh's consecutive whitewash over Pakistan, with the last one coming in Pakistan itself.

Our Take

It is embarrassing for Pakistan, knowing that they have not been able to do well in the Test series against Bangladesh. The team will surely have to assess a number of things in its upcoming matches, especially their line-up, as some players failed to contribute as much as the team expected from them. For Bangladesh, they have also received a major boost in the WTC standings, but it remains to be seen for how long the team is able to hold on to this momentum.
