Reports | Donny Van de Beek and Real Madrid come to an agreement over personal terms
Real Madrid have finally reached an agreement with Ajax star Donny van de Beek. It is reported that personal terms and conditions have been agreed by the Los Blancos, and only negotiations between the two sides are left, with Ajax valuing Van de Beek somewhere around €60 to €70 million.
Things may finally be over between Donny Van de Beek and Ajax, with Marca reporting that Real Madrid and the Ajax midfielder have come to an agreement over personal terms. The 22-year-old helped Ajax reach the semi-finals of the Champions League last season, playing an integral part alongside Dusan Tadic, Frenkie De Jong and even David Neres. That combined with Van de Beek’s sensational performances for his club and country have attracted interest from numerous clubs.
However, while both Arsenal and Liverpool were linked, Real Madrid have emerged as the frontrunners. The Los Blancos are in need of bolstering their midfield, after losing Dani Ceballos (on-loan) and Marcos Llorente. Furthermore, they've also lost Marco Asensio to a severe injury, after he ruptured his ACL in a friendly.
This would effectively see the young midfielder will miss the majority of the 2019/20 season. There have been a lot of rumours floating around that suggested Madrid would steal Manchester United’s prized asset Paul Pogba. But that move has come to a halt, as it looks like Real Madrid have been put off by Manchester United’s asking price for mercurial Frenchman.
That could see the move fall apart despite the fact that Zidane is a big fan of the French midfielder. But with four days left, there is a chance that Real Madrid might make one final push for Pogba, before the window closes.
