Football Delhi president Shaji Prabhakaran offers to host Real Kashmir's home games in New Delhi
Football Delhi had come forward lending a helping hand to the AIFF and the I-League to host Real Kashmir’s home matches at the Capital’s Ambedkar stadium. Real Kashmir’s remaining two I-League matches were under uncertainty due to the commotion prevailing in Srinagar post the Pulwama terror attacks.

Minerva Punjab FC had requested for a written assurance/permission from Real Kashmir FC and AIFF due to safety concerns over the Pulwama terror attack. They had denied forfeiting the match and also clarified that they would move the situation to the court if the match would be considered forfeited.
“When foreign players are being advised not to travel to a region, how can the club force them to travel based on verbal assurances? If three points are given to Real Kashmir despite failing to provide security assurances then we will appeal the decision and consider moving to court for relief,” the club’s official statement read.
Following the recent developments, Football Delhi had proposed to conduct matches at the Ambedkar stadium in the capital as they offered to channelize their energy in hosting the games so that no team would have to forfeit their games and the I-League can be completed successfully.
"Delhi is willing and ready to host Real Kashmir's home games. Delhi would welcome these matches. As soon as we receive any official intimation, we will channelize our energies into hosting the games. It's not a problem for us at all," Football Delhi president Shaji Prabhakaran told TOI on Sunday.
