25-year old striker Seiminlen Doungel has announced his departure from Kerala Blasters FC after having signed a deal with 2019 Super Cup champions FC Goa ahead of the start of the upcoming domestic season. Doungel scored two goals and had four assists in his last season with Kerala Blasters FC.

FC Goa suffered a disappointing end to their highly-impressive 2018-19 ISL season as they lost the final to Sunil Chhetri-led Bengaluru FC. However, Sergio Lobera’s young squad displayed a peculiar style of attacking football that drew plaudits from all across the country.

The 2018 runners-up have moved quickly to snap up Kerala Blasters FC striker Seiminlen Doungel ahead of the start of the upcoming domestic season to provide cover for their attacking players. Doungel, who has previously also played for NorthEast United FC, scored two goals and assisted four during his last season with the Kochi-based outfit.

Doungel, who also regularly played for the Indian Arrows in the I-League, was praised for his work rate and attitude but criticised for a lack of end product. The talented forward will look to improve his individual game and also help out the fast-paced FC Goa team put together by Spanish coach Sergio Lobera.
