Igor Stimac’s scissors this time has seen the crucial names like Dhanpal Ganesh, Rowlin Borges, and Narayan Das as the coach reportedly trimmed the list in serarch of his perfect 23-man squad for the King’s Cup. Earlier, Stimac had cut off the likes of Redeem Tlang, Sumeet Passi and five others.

With just five days to go before India take on Curcacao in the King’s Cup in Thailand, Stimac has been a busy man building his ideal squad. The coach was appointed too late into the side and therefore has very little time to evaluate the talent pool available at his disposal.

However, the Croatian seemingly has a plan in mind and knows perfectly which players would fit his plan. However, the recent exclusions are surprising nonetheless as the predominantly defensive manager decided to release two of India’s better defensive midfielders in Ganesh and Borges.

According to Goal, the other players released are full backs Narayan Das and Anwar Ali, youngster Komal Thatal and centre half Salam Ranjan Singh. Among them, Ali has been released owing to an injury while the rest assumingly didn’t fit his style as of now.

In the previous clear-off, the likes of Sumeet Passi, Nandha Kumar, Redeem Tlang, Bikramjit Singh, Germanpreet Singh, and Vishal Kaith. The current 25-man squad would further be trimmed to 23 in the next few days.
