Ryan Giggs has claimed that his former side needs more players in order for them to improve but they have to be the right men. The Red Devils have had a terrible start to their season with only nine points from their first seven games making it one of their worst ever start to a season.

Since their opening day win against Chelsea, Manchester United have managed to win just one more game, against Leicester City, losing two to make it their worst start in 30 years. The club has been plagued with injuries all across the field with the likes of Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and even Marcus Rashford missing large portions already but questions have been asked of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The rumour mill is already flooded with reports saying that the Norwegian will become the second manager to be sacked this season, maybe even before the international break ends.

That could prove to be problematic for Manchester United but legend Ryan Giggs believes that the club needs to keep their faith. A treble winner with the Red Devils, the Welshman went on to admit that the club needs to sign more players to improve the side before they can think about sacking Solskjaer. He even went on to admit that his former teammate needs more time at the helm especially since there is a change brewing about the club.

"They need another four or five players. He (Solskjaer) has bought in three players but he probably needs seven or eight (altogether). But you can't do that over one transfer window, so you have to be patient because it will be slow. The culture has changed and what he is trying to do was much needed. He needs time," the Wales manager said reports Sky Sports.
