AC Milan believes that Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny will be a perfect replacement for Franck Kessie who is rumoured to leave in January. The Rossoneri are looking to bring in reinforcements in January as they have struggled in the Serie A this season and have already appointed a new manager.

Italian news outlet Gazzetta has reported that AC Milan have been scouting Mohamed Elneny who is currently on loan at Besiktas from Arsenal. The report adds that Milan feel that Elneny is a combination of Franck Kessie, Lucas Biglia and Ismael Bennacer and is someone who will fit well in the team. Reports have also revealed that Kessie is looking to leave in January with a variety of Premier League clubs like Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United in the race.

The new head coach Stefano Pioli is made aware of the recent developments and has been briefed on Elneny as well. Kessie came close to joining Wolves in the summer but eventually, the negotiations stalled. Elneny, on the other hand, is currently playing for Besiktas has already expressed his wish to change teams in January as reported by Gazzetta. The Arsenal loanee has made a solitary appearance in the Turkish Super Lig where he received a red card and 2 appearances in the Europa League so far.

According to the report from Gazzetta, playing time has not been coming regularly for the 27-year-old, he is adamant on finding a new club which offers adequate game-time and Milan could promise him that. The Rossoneri are ready to launch a bid of £15 million to sign Elneny from Arsenal should the Gunners accept their bid. The former Basel man has made 89 appearances for Arsenal but it doesnt look like he’ll get to increase that tally as the North London club look to cash in on the star reports indicate.
