Daniel Levy is prepared to fight any threat of losing star Harry Kane at the end of the season, if the club fails to win any trophies. The Englishman has been not just one of the club’s best players but also one of their most consistent goalscorers, often one of the few men on the field performing.
After a shock loss to League Two side Colchester United, Tottenham have continued their shuttering start to the 2019/20 season. That now makes it two losses in a row for the North London side, with them now on a three-game winless run in all competition. A run that includes a draw against Olympiacos in the Champions League group stage and a loss to Leicester City.
However, their shock loss to Colchester has seen the Telegraph report that whether or not Tottenham end the season with a trophy, chairman Daniel Levy will is prepared to fight. The Spurs chief desperately wants to keep Harry Kane at the club and with the Englishman making his desire to win trophies clear, it’s prompted fears that he might consider his Spurs future.
At the moment, Tottenham can only realistically hope to win the FA Cup and the Champions League, with even the Premier League seemingly title out of their reach. But despite that, the Telegraph has revealed that Levy values Kane at 250 million pounds and will not budge on the striker’s price-tag. That could effectively scare off anyone trying to buy the Englishman, who is contracted till 2024.
