The gaming landscape in Football was being ruled by EA Sports and Konami for a long time. EA Sports, which is now known as EAFC, is known for its new games being launched every year, along with the in-game purchases. Konami is also known for developing games like Pro Evolution Soccer, and amidst this, Strikerz Inc has entered the market with UFL, which is a free football game.
This game is now available to the players on consoles and various platforms, which could help the game to compete with others. Cristiano Ronaldo has also associated himself with this game, as he joined the company as a brand ambassador in 2021. Later in 2023, he also considered investing in the projects of the company to build up the best football games.
The CEO of the company, Nashilov said,"Let me start with this - I'm a Cristiano Ronaldo fan personally. He has inspired me a lot since I was a kid, I think starting when he moved from Sporting to Manchester United. I never believed this could ever happen, that we could work together. We were nobodies, an unknown brand, it was complicated to convince his guys and him personally, but we really wanted to do this and I think he also saw the perspective with what we're trying to bring to the market.”
Along with Cristiano Ronaldo, various other players have been a part of UFL’s promotion, which includes Kevin De Bruyne, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Roberto Firmino.
