Neymar Jr. has joined the Saudi Pro League, taking in the riches of the tournament over the fascinating European football. This deal has sent a lot of shockwaves to the football fans around the world, as they are questioning the decision of Neymar’s unavailability for European football.

Although his move to the Saudi Pro League, after joining Al-Hilal has come forward with big paychecks and a lavish lifestyle, he also had to make some big sacrifices due to the same. It has been reported that he will be receiving €100 million per year for playing in the Saudi Pro League by the Al-Hilal team. This also comes with a private jet and special accommodations.

However, this also comes with several opportunities which he had sacrificed by not choosing to stay in Europe. UEFA Champions League is considered to be the best tournament for Neymar and unfortunately he won't be able to participate in the same as he has ruled himself out of the prestigious competition.

It will also result in the reduction of his popularity over a period of time, as the Saudi Pro League is still at a growing stage. Still, this league has not been much popular as compared to the European leagues, which are widely known by the football fans around the world.

Along with that, there won't be much competition available for Neymar Jr. while participating in the events of the Saudi Pro League. Although there will be challenges for him in every game, they won't match the level of the European leagues as of now. These are some of the disadvantages which he might have overlooked due to the opportunity to grow football in Saudi Arabia along with the financial incentives.
