Cristiano Ronaldo Inter Move for Club World Cup Unlikely

Reports suggested Cristiano Ronaldo might leave Al-Nassr in June 2025 to join a Club World Cup team, with Inter Milan speculated as a destination. However, Tuttosport dismissed the claim, citing financial concerns from Inter president Beppe Marotta, who previously opposed Ronaldo's Juventus transfer. FIFA reportedly wants Ronaldo in the tournament, but a move remains unrealistic.

As the 2025 Club World Cup approaches, rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo joining Inter Milan for the tournament have been dismissed as unrealistic. Reports from Sky Sports UK suggested that Ronaldo could leave Al-Nassr when his contract expires in June or through a special transfer window to join a participating club. Although Inter Milan was not directly mentioned, speculation linked the Serie A champions to the Portuguese star, given his past stint with Juventus from 2018 to 2021.

However, Tuttosport clarified that such a move is highly unlikely. Inter president Beppe Marotta, who was Juventus' CEO when Ronaldo signed in 2018, previously admitted he was not fully convinced by the financial implications of the deal. At that time, it was sporting director Fabio Paratici who played a key role in securing Ronaldo’s transfer from Real Madrid. The 39-year-old forward remains under contract at Al-Nassr, a club not competing in the Club World Cup, making a temporary switch to Inter improbable.

While FIFA may prefer Ronaldo’s presence in the tournament for its global appeal, there is no concrete evidence supporting a move to Inter. The speculation appears to be more of a media-driven narrative rather than a realistic transfer possibility.
