Chelsea Cole Palmer is reportedly a potential target for Liverpool if Mohamed Salah leaves. Former footballer Dwight Yorke suggests that Liverpool could be Palmer only viable option if Chelsea fails to qualify for the Champions League. Palmer, with 14 goals and six assists this season, has struggled recently, recording no assists since December. The 21-year-old has 11 England caps and scored in the Euro 2024 final.

For the 2024-25 football season, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer has been linked with a surprise move to Liverpool as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah. Former Premier League star Dwight Yorke speculated that Palmer could join Liverpool if Salah leaves, as the winger has yet to sign an extension beyond June.

Palmer’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain, with reports suggesting he may leave if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League. Some claims, though unconfirmed, indicate a clause in his contract allowing an exit under such circumstances. Despite a strong start to the season with 14 goals and six assists in all competitions, Palmer’s form has dipped, with no assists recorded since December.

Yorke ruled out moves to Manchester United and Arsenal due to Palmer’s ties with Manchester City and the presence of Bukayo Saka, respectively. However, he sees Liverpool as a realistic option if Salah departs.

The 21-year-old has been capped 11 times for England, scoring twice. His most notable moment came in the Euro 2024 final, where he scored England’s equalizer before Spain secured a 2-1 victory. With Chelsea struggling, Palmer’s future remains a topic of speculation in the transfer market.
