For the World Cup qualifiers, Norway continued their strong start with a 4-2 win over Israel, topping their group with six points from two games and scoring nine goals in total. Erling Haaland netted his second goal in as many matches, sealing Norway’s fourth goal of the night at Nagyerdei Stadion. Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard provided a hat-trick of assists, while David Moller Wolfe, Alexander Sorloth, and Kristoffer Ajer also scored. Israel's Mohammed Abu Fani and Dor Turgeman found the net but couldn’t stop Norway’s dominant performance.

Meanwhile, Wales rescued a dramatic 1-1 draw against North Macedonia. David Brooks scored deep into stoppage time, securing a point and maintaining Wales’ unbeaten start under new manager Craig Bellamy. Earlier, Bojan Miovski had given North Macedonia the lead in the first minute of added time, threatening Wales’ position. However, Brooks capitalized on Kieffer Moore’s knockdown to equalize in the sixth minute of injury time. Wales now sit atop Group J with four points after their earlier win against Kazakhstan.

Bellamy praised his side’s resilience, calling the match a "rollercoaster of emotions" and expressing optimism about the team’s potential. The result left him encouraged, believing the group has more to offer in the qualifiers ahead.
