West Ham’s Callum Wilson ranks third in the Premier League for shots on target this season, averaging 1.70 with 70% accuracy, surpassing Erling Haaland’s 60%. Despite fewer minutes (368 vs 948) and only three starts, Wilson’s precision highlights his potential under Nuno Espirito Santo to become a key scorer for the Hammers.

As the Premier League season progresses, Callum Wilson has quietly emerged as one of West Ham United’s most efficient attackers under Nuno Espirito Santo. The striker currently ranks third in the league for shots on target, averaging 1.70 per game with an impressive 70 percent accuracy. This statistic places him ahead of Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, who also averages 1.70 shots on target but with a lower 60 percent accuracy.

However, the Norwegian remains ahead in goals, netting 14 with a 31 percent conversion rate compared to Wilson’s two goals and 20 percent conversion. A key factor behind this difference is playing time. Haaland has featured in 11 league matches, clocking 948 minutes, while Wilson has only started three, totaling 368 minutes. Despite this, his efficiency in front of goal suggests he could deliver much more if given consistent starts. Since Nuno’s arrival, West Ham have scored six goals in two league games, showing clear attacking improvement.

Wilson’s recent Man of the Match display in the 3-2 victory over Burnley underlines his growing influence. If he continues receiving more minutes, the England international could easily reach double figures this season and become a vital part of Nuno’s revitalized Hammers attack.
