Barcelona presidential candidate Xavier Vilajoana has named Harry Kane as a top signing target if elected. Kane, 32, said he is unaware of any talks and remains happy at Bayern Munich, where his contract runs until 2027. Vilajoana believes Kane could replace Robert Lewandowski and suit Barcelona’s playing style under Hansi Flick.

When the presidential election at FC Barcelona approaches on March 15, candidate Xavier Vilajoana has made a bold promise by naming Harry Kane as his top transfer target. While Marcus Rashford’s future in Spain remains uncertain, Vilajoana believes Kane would be the ideal replacement for Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires in the summer and who is attracting interest from MLS clubs.

Vilajoana praised Kane’s ability to link play, finish chances, and perform against deep defensive lines. He also claimed that Kane admires Barcelona and would suit their football philosophy under coach Hansi Flick. However, Kane has played down the rumours, stating that he has not been informed of any talks and is fully focused on his current role at Bayern Munich.

Kane acknowledged the interest as a compliment but stressed his happiness in Munich. Bayern officials have also dismissed immediate transfer concerns. Board member Uli Hoeness confirmed that Kane’s release clause for summer 2026 has expired and his contract now runs until 2027. Sporting director Christoph Freund added that contract talks are planned and the club feels no pressure to sell.
