Pro Kabaddi 2016 | Dabang Delhi tame Bengaluru Bulls for first win of season

Meraj Sheykh put up an all-round effort by scoring 8 points, while a scintillating display of precision power play by Sachin Shingade supported the cause by scoring 7 tackle points to ensure Dabang Delhi got their first win in Prokabaddi League Season 4 with a 32-24 win over Bengaluru Bulls.

Rohit Kumar, 8 points, and Mohit Chillar, 7 points, were the only players who were able to cause some damage in an otherwise disappointing outing for the Bengaluru Bulls. Bengaluru Bulls drew the first blood and took a 2-point lead in the 2nd minute through Vinod Kumar's successful raid and a bold, yet successful, tackle on Kashiling Adake. However, in the resulting raid, Dabang Delhi returned the favour through a successful raid from Selvamani.

Sachin Shingade’s stellar defending and Meraj Sheykh’s intelligent raid ensured the Dabang Delhi went into the half leading 14-9. Both teams exchanged blows for the first five minutes of the second half and the score rose to 24-19 in favor of the Dabang Delhi, after 30 minutes of play. For the Bengaluru Bulls, Rohit Kumar made it a 6-point game by winning 2 points in the resulting raid and reduced the deficit further to give the fans something to cheer about.

But, Dabang Delhi inflicted the second all-out on the bulls and took the lead to 10 points. The losers had to come with a superlative effort, but that wasn't to be. The losers in the bargain lost an opportunity to grab one point for not losing the tie by less than a seven point margin as Rohit Kumar got tackled in the last raid of the match.

That resulted in Bengaluru Bulls getting handed their first defeat in PKL Season 4 and the first victory for Dabang Delhi, who played their hearts out in all the matches so far but were unlucky.
