The sport of Kabaddi, which has grown from just a regional game to a popular sport over the past decade or so, has hit astronomical heights with the emergence of the Pro Kabaddi League. With the Kabaddi Masters Dubai fast approaching, take this quiz and test your knowledge on the sport.

Kabaddi has always been a popular sport amongst the regional population in India but it never really found its place in the cosmopolitan areas of the country. This all changed since the establishment of the Pro Kabaddi League back in 2014.

The PKL has helped take the sport of Kabaddi to the masses due to some impressive marketing and publicity campaigns in the last four years. The addition of some popular personalities like Abhishek Bachan, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Sachin Tendulkar, who each own teams in the tournament, also boosted its popularity on a global scale as well.

The establishment of the Kabaddi Masters’ tournament ensured that the Indian sport of Kabaddi will make its way to foreign shores in the UAE. The 2018 edition of the tournament which will be held in Dubai will see India, Pakistan, South Korea, Iran, Argentina, and Kenya battle it out for a shot at the title.

The tournament will be hosted at the Al Wasl Sports Club in Dubai and will be a nine-day action-packed affair showcasing the best of Kabaddi action on Star Sports. The viewers are set to witness a stiff battle between all the six participants.

Ahead of that tournament, Take this quiz as a recap to test your knowledge about the sport of Kabaddi in India.
