Pro Kabaddi League franchise, Bengaluru Bulls will choose between Chennai and Pune as the two venues to host the home leg of this season’s tournament from November 23 to 29. The Bulls dealt with similar circumstances last year and shifted its matches to Mankapur Indoor Stadium in Nagpur.

The Bengaluru Bulls franchise are finding themselves exactly where they were a year ago - homeless. It has been a tough journey for the Bulls and their fans as the team had to look for a venue away from Bangalore for the home leg games last season. And as things stand, it might turn out to be a repeat of last year’s crisis again this year.

As per recent reports, the home leg of Pro Kabaddi League team Bengaluru Bulls will not be held at Bengaluru as confirmed by team owner and WL League Pvt. Ltd. CEO Uday Sinh Wala on Monday.

“We are definitely not holding our matches in Bengaluru. We have delayed this tough decision for as long as we can, but time has run out. We will announce our choice between Chennai and Pune in a few days,” Uday told The Hindu.

Uday added that the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES) had not responded to requests to use the Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, which also served as the home ground for ISL’s Bengaluru FC. This would serve as the second straight season in which the Bangalore-based franchise would be unable to ride on the support of its home fans. Last year, the Bulls played its matches at the Mankapur Indoor Stadium in Nagpur.

“This is horribly disappointing for the entire team. We have the best fans in the country, but once again, we won’t have the chance to entertain them in Bengaluru,” Uday added.
