IPL 2016: Amit Mishra reprimanded for using inappropriate language
Delhi Daredevils leg-spinner Amit Mishra was reprimanded by the match referee on Saturday for using inappropriate language during their 27-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders at Delhi. The incident took place after the 33-year old spinner took a brilliant catch to dismiss Andre Russell.
“In the VIVO IPL match in Delhi on Saturday, Amit Mishra of Delhi Daredevils was reprimanded by the Match Referee for using inappropriate language during their match.
“Mr. Mishra admitted to the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.4 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials) and accepted the sanction.
“For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding,” said a media release from the IPL.Mishra took one wicket in his four over conceding 36 runs, and broke the dangerous-looking 44-run partnership between Andre Russell and Robin Uthappa by dismissing the former of his own bowling. Delhi Daredevils won the match by 27 runs and moved to the second position in the table behind Gujarat Lions.

Delhi Daredevils will face next face table-toppers Gujarat Lions on May 3 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association stadium in Rajkot.
