David Warner showed his amazing spirit of the game as while running for a single during the game against Gujarat Lions, he got down and gave Basil Thampi his shoe, who lost it while fielding a ball that eventually went past him. Warner's sweet gesture earned him a lot of praise from the fans.

A decade or two ago did cricketers come out and display their sense of humor or crack witty and sarcastic jokes about their own teammates on a public forum like the Twitter. But, since the inception of the IPL, the tournament has helped the cricketers from different countries come closer and make friendships with each other and that sometimes has also helped raising sportsmanship spirit among the cricketers. The match between Gujarat Lions and Sunrisers Hyderabad produced one such moment.

The incident took place on the last delivery of the 9th over which was bowled by Basil Thampi. Moses Henriques hit the ball straight past the bowler who lost his footing in trying to get to the ball. Warner, suddenly, stopped midway to return the shoe to the bowler before completing his single.

The commentators were heard having a nice laugh at the incident and were impressed with the Aussie's quick pace and reaction.
