WATCH | Yuvraj Singh joins the brain fade club with a hilarious run out miss

Brain fades have become very synonymous with the game of cricket recently. After Kuldeep Yadav's brain fade moment, it was Yuvraj Singh's turn to join the club as he, for some reason, failed to release the ball to either end saving Kulkarni or Karthik the blushes of an embarrassing run out.

The incident in question took place in the 16th over of the IPL match between Hyderabad and Gujarat. On the last delivery of the over, Karthik cut a Buhvneshwar Kumar delivery straight to Yuvraj standing at backward point. Dhawal Kulkarni, who had recently walked onto the crease after Dwayne Smith's wicket, found himself stranded in the middle of the pitch alongside Karthik, who had initially given the call for a run.

Yuvraj Singh, who collected the ball brilliantly, suffered his own version of brain fade when he got confused with both options available for a run out. He, eventually, did not attempt a direct hit at the stumps but threw the ball to the non-striker's end. As luck would have it the ball took an unusual bounce and Bhuvneshwar Kumar had to collect the ball well above his head. The bowler couldn't help himself from smiling awkwardly at the incident while Yuvraj seemed to be figuring out what had transpired.
