BCCI official questions Ganguly endorsing products

Despite his playing days being well behind him, it’s hard to keep Ganguly out of the news. 'Dada' is a TV expert and columnist and it has now emerged that Ganguly has been pitted against former BCCI president N Srinivasan to represent the BCCI at an important ICC meeting in Dubai on April 24.

Ganguly has been seen on the giant hoardings at the Holkar Stadium in Indore promoting a leading courier company who are official logistics partner of Kings XI Punjab. An unnamed top BCCI official has raised a question on whether the 44-year-old can continue to endorse products when he is a member of the IPL Governing Council.

"There's an ambiguity around these things, but actually when one is an administrator in the board, one should avoid all this. It's not right to sail in two boats. He's also a member of the IPL Governing Council," the official told the Times of India.

Meanwhile, it has been learnt that the BCCI is concerned about the poor umpiring standards in IPL 2017 and the issue was taken up during a meeting between IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla, BCCI CEO Rahul Johri and IPL in-charge Hemang Amin.
