West Indies' Kraigg Brathwaite reported for suspect action

Kraigg Brathwaite, primarily an opening batsman and occasional offspin bowler, has been reported for a suspect bowling action during an innings and 209-run defeat by England in the first Test at Edgbaston.

"The match officials' report, which was handed over to the Windies' team management, cited concerns about the legality of the 24-year-old's bowling action," said an International Cricket Council (ICC) statement.

Brathwaite sent down six overs for six runs, but now, the 24-year old will be undergoing testing within next 14 days. However, he is allowed to continue to bowl in international cricket until the results of the test are known.

The West Indies batsman has 12 wickets in Test cricket along with a 6 for 29 against Sri Lanka in Colombo. Apart from that, he is the only member with more than 2000 Test runs in the current squad and is definitely is far more vital for West Indies for his technique with the bat. Brathwaite made a duck in the first innings at Edgbaston, on the other hand, scored 40 in the second before being caught plumb by Moeen Ali.
