Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni figure in a chatty Instagram video clip where the former asks Dhoni to describe his journey as captain of Team India and the latter responds in his typically understated manner. Yuvraj also hails Dhoni as the best skipper he has played under.

Dhoni led an Indian team in blue jersey for the last time on Tuesday, albeit in a 50-over warm-up match against England at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, after standing down as limited-overs skipper on Jan 4. Tributes have been flowing in since his announcement.

Dhoni smashed a 40-ball 68 not out and Yuvraj hit 56 off 48 deliveries for India A. However, the tourists eked out a three-wicket win with seven balls to spare.

Yuvraj posted a short, chatty video of himself and Dhoni on Instagram, calling it: “Well done @mahi7781 on your career as captain! 3 major wins 2 w cups time to unleash the old dhoni.”

In the clip, Yuvraj asks Dhoni to describe his long journey as India captain.

“The journey has been good, fantastic. It is good to have players like you, the job becomes easier. Enjoyed my 10 years, hopefully, I will enjoy more, whatever I have,” Dhoni replies.

Yuvraj then says: “You are the best captain ever, would like to tell you that. It has been amazing playing under you, winning three big championships, world cup and being the number 1 test team under you.”

Dhoni responds with “I witnessed the six sixes at the best seat,” referring to the southpaw’s stunning assault of England pacer Stuart Broad in the 2007 World Twenty20 with him at the non-striker’s end.
