S Sreesanth has expressed his disappointment at Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni for not standing by him during the spot-fixing scandal in the IPL 2013. Sreesanth was accused of being involved in fixing during the 2013 IPL while playing for Rajasthan Royals and was subsequently banned from the game.

Sreesanth had been handed a life suspension on match-fixing charges and has since been fighting his case in the court. The BCCI, glued to its stand, have rejected the idea of removing the life ban imposed on the Kerala player. On the other hand, Sreesanth has been trying his best to join the cricket circuit time and again. In that period, he continued being outspoken and this time he slammed then Indian skipper MS Dhoni, Dravid, who was the captain of Rajasthan Royals when Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan, and Ajit Chandila’s name cropped up.

“I was sad that Rahul (Dravid) stood by Rajasthan Royals, and didn’t support me despite knowing me well. I messaged MS Dhoni and sent him an emotional message. But he didn’t respond,” the Kerala pacer said in an interview with Republic.

“Six or more of the top 10 Indian players were accused by the Delhi Police. If the other six names of the accused come out, it will really affect the game. Let’s face it, this is not the national team. The BCCI is a private firm. If I’m given an opportunity and I’m allowed to play, then I would play for another country.”

Earlier, Sreesanth claimed that he would try to approach the Supreme Court to lift his ban and stating that he will fight for his right and wants to earn back his respect.
