The Twitterati went mental as the Indian bowlers demolished the Australian batting line-up. Aaron Finch gave the visitors a good start but Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav were able to keep the middle order in check as six Australians were dismissed as a result of their stumps being disturbed.

India waltzed to a comfortable 9-wicket victory after a rain interruption led to Australia’s score of 118/8 being revised to 48 runs off 6 overs. Earlier, Kuldeep Yadav (2/16) and Jasprit Bumrah (2/17) had decimated the Aussie innings after an Aaron Finch's 42 had given the visitors a good start.

Brief scores : Australia 118/4 (18.4 overs) (Aaron Finch 42, Glenn Maxwell 17; Kuldeep Yadav 2/16, Jasprit Bumrah 2/17) lost to India 49/1 (Virat Kohli 22*, Shikhar Dhawan 15*; Natan Coulter-Nile 1/20) by 9 wickets (DLS).

Here are the tweets from the match:

Good news before the match!

I am sure many of you are wondering why Nehra was selected but is not starting today. Well here is the answer! :P

After losing Warner early the Aussies turned to Maxwell, but this is what he was doing on the pitch! :P

Afridi, is that you?

After some cutting, Maxwell does what he does best, get out to Chahal! :P

Pretty sure that the Indian fielders had good intentions while dropping those catches! :P

When everyone was getting bowled one man in the dugout was relieved!

Meanwhile, Jadeja and Ashwin after watching the Indian spinners bowl will be like.....

As a result of the rain...

What a jinx by Sanjay! :P

Australia's misery continues!
