Hope Virat Kohli will fulfill my dream of winning a Test series in Australia, reveals VVS Laxman

Former Indian middle order batsman VVS Laxman has revealed that the Indian team that he was part of always dreamt of winning a Test series Down Under and he now wishes that Virat Kohli fulfils his dream. The Indian cricket team has failed to win a Test series in Australia in 11 tours so far.

VVS Laxman has come out and said in an interview that he wants Virat Kohli and Co. to win the upcoming Test series in Australia for some selfish reasons. The four match Test series is to begin tomorrow at the Adelaide Oval.

"The team I was part of always dreamt of winning a Test series in Australia. We have won Test matches in Australia but never a Test series. I hope Virat Kohli will fulfil my dream," revealed Laxman told NDTV.

Speaking on the Indian captain Virat Kohli’s prowess as a batsman Laxman said that Kohli has already managed to create a legacy as far as his batting is concerned. He added that now here is a chance for him to also create a captaincy legacy by defeating Australia in Australia for the first time ever.

"Virat Kohli has already left a legacy as far as his batting is concerned. All the laurels he got for himself and the team are unmatched. As a captain, it will be an opportunity to leave a legacy and be the first Indian team to beat Australia in Australia," he added.

It would be an early morning start as far as the Indian Cricket fans are concerned, with the match beginning at 5:30 AM in the morning. As Australia will not have the services of Steve Smith and David Warner it would be a big opportunity for the visitors to win the Test series.
