India vs Australia | Nathan Lyon will enjoy bowling in Perth, says Aaron Finch

Aaron Finch managed a solid half-century on the first day of the second Test match in Perth today giving the Australian side a good start. Though it was a green surface on offer in Perth, two of the six wickets that fell on the day were picked by part-time spinner Hanuma Vihari. Hence Finch assessed that if the wicket offers bounce to Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon then he could be a dangerous customer for India.

"I think Nathan will enjoy bowling on that. The bounce as much as anything, he talks about how much more effective he is when you do have that bounce because you can get guys caught on the crease, it brings in your bat-lad and leg-slip.

"No doubt he'll be excited by it."

The right-hander also gave the example of Hanuma Vihari and stated that he created some crucial chances and also got the wickets. He again reiterated that bounce would be a crucial factor going into the match. Vihari bagged the wickets of Shaun Marsh and Marcus Harris for India.

"I think the bounce that Nathan will get will be crucial on this wicket. We saw when Vihari bowled that fuller length it was tough," Finch said.

"There were some chances created for the left-hander, for 'SoS' there (Shaun Marsh, who was dismissed by Vihari for 45).

Ravichandran Ashwin had to sit out of the second match due to an injury. Finch also praised Ashwin and said that he was conversant of bowling at any surface and hence hinted that India might miss him in the match

"Ash bowled beautifully in Adelaide, especially on the last day, I think he got a couple of wickets there," Finch said.

"What's he taken, 360 Test wickets? He's pretty adept at bowling on any surface. No doubt he would have been a handful."
