VIDEO | Tim Paine drops his nice-boy image to take an indirect dig at Virat Kohli

After few silent days of Test cricket, teams are now getting themselves into the zone of what Sony calls “Chodna Maat” attitude. So much so that, Tim Paine, who got into an altercation with Virat Kohli earlier in the day, told Murali Vijay that the latter certainly couldn’t like Kohli as a person.

The fourth day of the second Test in Perth was probably the most heated of them all as two captains as Paine and Kohli involved themselves in heated conversations. It started Paine nudged the first ball of the 71st over of the innings to mid wicket and set off for a run, Kohli ran towards the pitch to collect the ball before colliding with the batsman at the non-striker’s end. Although Kohli ran towards mid-on for the next delivery, Paine went a couple of steps away for a few words before umpire Chris Gaffaney interrupted to remind them they were the captains.

While for a moment, it seemed like it would end soon, Kohli used some more words when Paine was returning back to the pavilion after scoring 37 runs. That forced Piane to turn around and give a reply, which meant the matter didn’t end then and would resurface at some point in the game.

As it turned out, it reappeared when Murali Vijay was batting as he continued the conversation related to the Indian captain with the Indian opener.

"I know he's your captain but you can't seriously like him as a bloke," Paine told Murali Vijay.
