India vs South Africa | Hosts practice with five spinners ahead of third ODI in Durban

The visitors won the first ODI in Durban by six wickets and handed a nine-wicket defeat to South Africa in Centurion. However, if the hosts wanted some inspiration to make a comeback in the series, then their record at Newlands will cheer them up as they played 33 ODI games and managed to win 28 matches at the venue and their win percentage is almost 85. However, going by the current form and injury concerns, South Africa found them at the backfoot and didn’t want to leave any stone unturned to make a come back in the series. 

In the first two games, their batsmen failed to read the variations of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav and to counter them in Cape Town, they invited five wrist-spinners to their team to prepare themselves against both Indian wrist-spinners. They worked on their selection of the shots while playing against the spin attack and tried to understand the variations as well.

Apart from the Indian spinners, the team are also struggling with the injury woes which resulted in Dale Steyn, Temba Bavuma, AB de Villiers, Faf du Plessis, and Quinton de Kock's unavailability in the ODIs.
