Recently, a Redditor brought up a question where he asked fellow its online users to come up with radical ideas to improve the game of cricket. Huge six’s equals double runs, muting the commentators, and abolishing the need for ICC status were some ideas that came up in the entertaining thread.

The emergence of the T20I format has been one of the most significant developments in the sport of cricket in the last decade or so, which has helped the game to prosper on whole new level. Players like Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum, and others have helped make the sport popular among the masses.

One of the suggestions that came up during the discussion on the Reddit page was that, “Any six over 100 meters gets 10 runs instead of just six ”. Another used added that any six more than 100 meters than should be awarded double the number of runs ie 12 runs.

Another user came up with something hilarious that did not involve players but the commentators of the game. "Every time a commentator says something obvious instead of providing insight their mic should be muted for 30 minutes," User eineineinein wrote. Many fans appeared to agree with this suggestion with one user simply writing, "Ban Sanjay Manjrekar."

There has been a lot of debate over the years on the direction in which cricket is heading, with the batsmen dominating proceedings. User clam46 provided a simple and hilarious solution of the same by suggesting, "Anti-powerplays where batsmen have to bat with a stump instead of a bat for 5 or 10 overs."

There were quite a few hilarious options that were discussed but of the lesser logical ones, the one suggestion that actually seemed to make sense was regarding the toss. "In a test series, the AWAY team can chose if they want to bat or bowl first. Basically getting rid of the toss in a test match. Gives the touring team a bit of an advantage," the user wrote.
