Windies will tour India for a full-fledged series in next October-November for the first time since 2014 and Eden Gardens will host the only T20I of the series. The Windies last toured India for a bilateral series back in 2014, but a pay dispute resulted in series being cut short midway.

India's relationship with Cricket Windies took a downhill turn since the 2014 incident for which then BCCI management decided to cut down all bilateral ties with the nation, but decided to revive it after Windies apologized for the incident. India then toured the Caribbean nation in 2016 for a Test series and in 2017 for ODI and T20I series. Now, it's confirmed that the Windies will tour India towards the end of the year.

While the schedule is yet to be released, Cricket Association of Bengal president Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that Eden Gardens will host the only T20I during that tour.

"We will host the Caribbean team for the one-off T20 international at the Eden Gardens," Ganguly said as quoted by TOI.

Today, reports have come out that Pune was awarded the hosting rights for two IPL qualifiers this season, but Ganguly surprised everyone by stating that Kolkata is expecting those two matches as Rising Pune Supergiant are not a part of the tournament anymore.
