Due to the regular team revamps and the relatively new league, IPL franchises always have this complaint of lacking solid fan base. Very few sides in the league enjoy maddening fan following and CSK is one of them, which was seen as a fan was recorded changing jersey as soon as Dhoni came on to bat.

It is no secret that more than 80% of Chennai Super Kings fans have only one reason to support the side - MS Dhoni. The World Cup-winning skipper is one of the lucky few in the world who enjoys an immense fan following all across the world, irrespective of nations. While respecting his leadership and batting prowess is one thing, one has hardly seen a fan changing their loyalty altogether for him.

The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings at the Eden Gardens on Thursday saw one such instance. While the whole stadium, even KKR fans sounded excited when Kuldeep Yadav scalped a dangerous Suresh Raina’s wicket, the roar was more to do with the player coming in next.

The fan in question was seen cheering for KKR, although his face had CSK emblem on one side. And as soon as Dhoni stepped into bat, he quickly took on his white KKR jersey and replaced that with the yellow CSK shirt inside. Though it looked much of a show and pre-planned, KKR fans surely wouldn’t be happy with his action.
