Cricket is an ever-evolving sport and the IPL has pushed its limits to a whole new level. But, more than the skill of the players, it is the idea that anything is possible that captivated the crowds, as Evin Lewis found out after hitting the ball twice as he gave away a catch on the opposite side.

In the all-important game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians at the Eden Gardens, it was the hosts that got off to a good start restricting the defending Champions to just 13 runs off the first two overs. However, Mumbai's opening duo got going soon after and by the end of the fifth over, had added another 25 runs to the total. In the final over of the powerplay, former KKR players Surya Kumar Yadav got the visitors off to the good start that they had wanted by hitting Piyush Chawla for two consecutive boundaries on the first two balls before taking a single off the third to bring the dangerous Evin Lewis on strike. But that is when disaster struck for the Mumbai.

The underpressure Chawla bowled a delivery down the leg side and in his attempt to pull the short ball, Lewis just stood there as the ball traveled to short third man as Chris Lynn claimed the catch. Amidst the confusion, the umpire declared the Windies star out and the replays showed what an unlucky dismissal it was. After getting an inside edge onto his pads, the ball looped out in the air and on the follow-through of the bat took another touch of the willow and went in the opposite direction.
