Believe it or not, MS Dhoni took exactly 0.099 seconds to dislodge Tim Seifert’s bails and after effecting the stumping, he didn’t even look at the umpire for an appeal. The leg-umpire, however, decided to go upstairs and the third umpire ruled the Kiwi opener as out after checking it in slo-mo.

That is MS Dhoni for you! Brilliance personified and the masterful anchor of all good stumping dismissals. He did that again, as has been the case everyday, but this time in such a fashion that would leave someone gasping for breath.

On the fourth ball of the 8th over, Kuldeep Yadav bowled a googly and after Seifert’s failure to understand it from the hand resulted in he was beaten on the outside edge completely in such a way that the Kiwi opener couldn’t get his bat down with conviction. Dhoni was alert like a fox to whip off the bails and he did it in such a manner that would act as a primer for all the keepers in the world.

He took the bails off in a flash and even before Seifert bringing his leg down, Dhoni had started celebrating. He didn’t even look at the umpire to appeal for the dismissal and walked towards Kuldeep to applaud his wrong’ un. The leg-umpire instantly referred the decision to the third umpire, who found out that the batsman’s leg was on the line and signalled him out.

While there is nothing new about it, the replay after a couple of deliveries left everyone stunned. Dhoni had done that stumping in 0.099 seconds as the host broadcaster showed it.
