Be it Joe Root blatantly wasting a review despite clearly nicking the ball or Henry Nicholls not reviewing a disputable LBW decision, much has been spoken about the usage of DRS in this World Cup. Pakistan's talisman Babar Azam was striking boundaries in all directions on Friday, punishing the Bangladeshi bowlers, swiftly notching up his fourth fifty-plus score of this World Cup. 

Azam was batting on 96, four away from his second century in three matches, when a sharp inswinger from Mohammad Saifuddin trapped him in front of the stumps. Azam had moved across the line, trying to nudge the ball towards fine leg, as the ball rapped him on his front pad on the full. 

While it looked pretty dead to the naked eye, Azam instantly went for the review, even without consulting his partner Imam-Ul-Haq, and all Pakistani fans had their hopes up as he went for the review, interpreting from his rapid review that he definitely must have had some wood on the ball as it passed him.

However, to their dismay, replays from Ultra Edge showed daylight between ball and bat, with the first impact of the ball being right on the front pad of Azam. Azam walked off in disappointment as the on-field Umpire reaffirmed his decision. The moment of madness from Azam meant that Pakistan were left with no reviews for the rest of their innings, with a good 18 overs left to play.
