Shoaib Akhtar has blasted the Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed for failing to maintain his fitness. The former Pakistan pacer was also utterly disappointed after the side’s humiliating loss against West Indies, in which Pakistan were skittled out for 105 and the target was chased down in 13.4 overs.

Pakistan have been making all the wrong headlines for their longest losing streak ever in ODIs. The side was left further embarrassed after the batsmen failed to answer the fiery short balls by West Indies bowlers. As per claims made a senior Pakistani cricket journalist Saj Sadiq, Shoaib Akhtar has blasted the skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed.

"When Sarfaraz Ahmed came for the toss, his stomach was sticking out and his face was so fat. He's the first captain I've seen who is so unfit. He's not able to move across and he's struggling with wicket-keeping,” Akhtar said, tweeted Sadiq.

Seeing the shocking collapse by the Pakistan batsmen, Akhtar’s first reaction was ‘Speechless’ but he even backed the side to bounce back in a series of tweets.

“Ok the match is over. Recollecting my thoughts and emotions.

We have to back these boys, they are representing our nation. They need our support throughout the World Cup,” reckoned the 43-year-old.

“It’s a disappointing performance of Team Pakistan, let’s not disheart them more and back them up,” he signed off while also sharing a video expressing his opinion.
